The first level features parquet floors in the living and dining rooms, and there is a big kitchen in the back with an island. There are also plenty of old details such as paneling, molding, a pier mirror and old doors.
Click through for more photos after the jump. The ask is $4,500 a month. Do you think that’s reasonable, considering the location fairly far east?

$1500 a bedroom, pretty narrow, 10 blocks from the C train (not the A) and a solid 15 walk from any of the restaurants in Stuy-Heights. It’s really, really nice, but that does seem a bit steep…
Nice house, but, agree, that first room is crying out for some crown molding.
If they get $4,500/month I would be shocked. I own a townhome on Putnam and Stuyvesant which is more desirable and my duplex would only fetch around $4k, but maybe I’m wrong. But in any event I hope they get every penny.
Missing some critical crown moldings there. (what! Someone was bound to say it if I hadn’t)
The west side of Bed-Stuy is called Bedford. Property prices in Bed-Stuy varies enormously depending on location. The most expensive houses are in Arlington Place, which is quite close to Clinton Hill and a block from the express A Nostrand Station. The second more expensive area is Stuyvestant Heights. As you go east and further form the A/C train and/or close to the projects, it gets way cheaper. A house in Arlington costs more than double that a a similar house close to Broadway.
I think this was sold not long ago for $1.1M. Looks like the owner will be living there mortgage free after renting out the second unit.
It is enormous, but for what it’s worth I usually only hear two references to parts of the neighborhood on this site: Bed Stuy, and East Bed Stuy.. West Bed Stuy does not seem to have a traction as a name…. Stuy Heights has traction. I would just break the neighborhood up into pieces already. It was probably always too big to treated as one neighborhood, and it certainly is now with the increased attention it’s getting.
