Another cafe has opened in east Bed Stuy. Butch & CoCo Cafe’s weekend brunch menu includes cheddar and blue cheese sliders, chicken tacos, and red velvet waffles and fried chicken. The spot also serves bagels, eggs and sausage, a “tlt” sandwich with turkey bacon, french toast, and a spring salad with artichoke and cucumber.
“It is easy to miss because the signage is not that eyecatching, but their limited menu is super delicious (mostly tacos and sliders),” a Brownstoner reader who lives nearby told us. Inside there is counter seating at the window and reclaimed wood around the main counter and the walls.
T Roc Homestyle Cooking opened nearby on Ralph in October, and Manny’s reopened on Patchen the same month.
For now Butch & CoCo is open only on weekends from 9 to 6:30 pm, workers told us when we stopped by. They deliver. The address is 153 Howard Avenue. GMAP
This place deserves to be patronized by us locals, especially following the latest closure at Manny’s, which I’ve learned was a tactic to get rid of their hardworking, underpaid kitchen staff! I find their repeated closings to be insulting to the customers. I feel resentful, and I’m glad to have an alternative, even closer than Manny’s. I’ll be very glad to take my business to Coco and Butch. They’re really nice, and the space looks great.
Thank you for this amazing recognition from our community..Again I do apologized for our appearance..and inconsistency with our hours…we’re in the final stage of our renovation. We did some soft opening to introduce ourselves to the community…We are eagerly looking for some amazing people to work with us.. so we can open 7days a week …Nevertheless, we will continue to open on the weekend ..effectively May 2′ from 7am-9pm…thank you butch & coco cafe
