More Progress at 252 Atlantic Avenue Shops

After years of delay, work is moving quickly at 252 Atlantic Avenue, where developer Renaissance Realty Group is planning retail space anchored by crafts shop Michael’s. When we stopped by 11 days ago, framing was already up for the two-story building. The foundation was being dug when we checked in early December.

Given the real estate market in Brooklyn right now, we’d expect a taller mixed-use building here, but plans for the site have not changed, according to building department filings.
