325 clinton avenue clinton hill 112014

Here’s a nicely sized one-bedroom for rent in the Clinton Hill Co-ops. The apartment appears to be in excellent condition, and the updated kitchen has white subway tile, a microwave, dishwasher and plenty of cabinets.

Although these apartments were built during the war to house workers at the Navy Yard, they have an open post-war feel that should appeal to mid-century design enthusiasts.

The building is next to the Clinton-Washington G train station, and the apartment is on the second floor. Do you think the asking rent of $2,600 a month is reasonable?

  1. I live in these buildings and it is as the others described. They’re not the most attractive buildings in the neighborhood, though far from the ugliest, but they allow one to live in this neighborhood with air, light, space and views that they could never afford in either brownstones or new construction.

Someone once said to me to remember that you live INSIDE your home. And on the inside, these apartments are great, especially if you have one with a forever view of Manhattan. On the outside, they have nice grounds and places to sit, and you have the same. Clinton Hill amenities as those who paid 2x.

Yeah if I had $2M to spend I’d love to live in one of the beautiful brownstones. But I don’t, so I live here, and have all of the same neighborhood stuff otherwise.

  2. I wonder what it’s like to live in these types of buildings. The neighborhood is great and beautiful, but i feel that being in these towers wouldn’t nearly be the same as living on a tree lined brownstone block, that may be right around the corner.
