A former school and Building of the Day at 265 Nostrand Avenue in Bed Stuy is being turned into apartments. The three-story Renaissance Revival structure is getting a two-story addition and 30 units, according to alteration permits. Ten duplex apartments will occupy the top two floors, according to Schedule A filings.

listing for a two-bedroom — we’re not sure if it was a rental or condo sale — went up in March but is no longer active, according to Zillow (we couldn’t find any record on StreetEasy or elsewhere). The interiors look pretty basic — a strip kitchen with stainless steel appliances, central heat and a typical new-construction bathroom. The listing says there’s a shared backyard. Thanks to a tipster for the listing and the heads up on the building.

Originally the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, and more recently a church, the building was constructed in 1903 and designed by J. B. McElfatrick and Sons. Public records show that it last changed hands two years ago for $1,803,600. The building doesn’t have a new certificate of occupancy or a condo declaration on file, which might explain why there are no active listings or sales. Update: The interior photos on the Zillow listing are from another building, a spokeswoman for Aptsandlofts, which is repping the building, told us. She said she didn’t have any more information about 265 Nostrand and whether it will be condos or rentals. We took down the interior shots.
