It can easily accommodate a family since it’s a thre-bed, two-bath, and while it doesn’t have the shine and edge of the West Shokan modern, it feels more country cottage and less cutting edge urban. Introducing our Jaw-Dropper Pick of the Week. It’s tough to tell from most the pictures that this was once a Victorian farmhouse, although if you swing around to the front, this fact becomes much more clear. There’s much about this house that is impressive (cathedral ceilings, plank flooring, enormous stone fire place), but the kitchen is what sells it with features like the brick oven and checkerboard floors. We don’t hate the property, either. It’s got its own spring-fed pond. Andes is in Delaware County in the Catskill Mountains. Beds: 4. Baths: 2.5. Square Feet: 2900. Lot Size: 7.4 acres. Est. And finally, our Cheapie of the Week. We’ve no doubt revealed our love of tree houses at some point in these posts, but in case we haven’t, we tend to seek them out. Or something that reminds us of tree houses. This one does the trick. It’s a 1,100 square foot cottage raised up off the ground and accessible by a foot bridge. We think it could use an all-around update inside (nothing drastic; it looks pretty okay with wood floors, lots of windows, and a screened-in porch).
