    POEM (aka BIG; bottom right) from the FX crew had a graffiti/hip hop shop a few blocks from here in Woodhaven back in the 90’s. Good to see they keep refreshing the walls in the neighborhood. I remember when the yard in the back of Franklin K. Lane HS was the original Graffiti hall of fame and was covered in huge productions by the top writers in the city. There were so many layers of paint that when they chipped you could literally peel away and reveal the old murals underneath. Back then Lane was just like the school in Lean on Me, had family and friends that went there, they had so few graduates that some years they could barely spell out the two numbers of the year for senior pictures.
