In Court Street Grocer Musical Chairs, Big Apple Gourmet to Close Soon?

After only six months in business, Big Apple Gourmet, the offshoot of popular Cobble Hill grocery Pacific Green, has posted a “for rent” sign outside its store, Pardon Me For Asking reported. The grocer moved into the old Mastellone’s space at 303 Court Street in Carroll Gardens when the deli owner retired after Pacific Green was reportedly threatened with eviction because J.Crew was moving in.

PMFA wonders if J.Crew reneged and grocery owner Billy Solmaz was able to renegotiate his lease. We had previously heard the grocer has two years remaining at its original 151 Court Street location.
