Hardware Store Selling Benjamin Moore Paint Opens on Tompkins in Bed Stuy

Citi Paints & Hardware opened at 331 Tompkins Avenue near Gates a few weeks ago. At first we thought it was a Benjamin Moore store, their logo is so big on the sign! In addition to paint, the store sells plumbing, electrical and other home-improvement supplies.

This should be welcome news to renovators in the area who miss the old Weinstein store at Tompkins and Halsey. Now closed, it was a neighborhood staple for years — and as far as we know the only place in Bed Stuy to sell Benjamin Moore.
