Condo of the Day: 306 Gold Street, #16B
This one-bedroom at the original Oro in Downtown Brooklyn (a sister building is nearing completion next door) just hit the market with an asking price of $645,000. The 16th-floor pad has great light and views and appears to be sensibly laid out (though we couldn’t find a floor plan). The common charges are still low…

The common charges are still low at $466 a month. Think it’ll sell quickly?

No thanks. I don’t like the location of these new buildings on Flatbush, and this unit is actually fairly small. Unless you just love new construction that much, I don’t get it. For that price, instead of this STUDIO with a wall, you could get a full 2 bedroom in the Clinton Hill Co-Ops for instance. But what do I know.
whats so great about this?
the bedroom only has a bed, nothing else, and it is cramped. nightstands, a dresser, armoire……nothing, a bed, and its too small.
didnt see a table and chairs either.
if all you do is stare out the window then this is the place for you, but to actually live here, a jail cell is bigger
It has a 15 year abatement and you’re correct, within 6-7 years the “free” period will begin to phase out. So many buyers are poorly informed about this.
