This three-bedroom in Crown Heights has some decent renovations and a reasonable price. The kitchen is large and newly renovated, and there is a separate (possibly oval, or at least curved on one end) dining room in addition to the living room. The three bedrooms easily fit a queen or a king “with room to spare,” according to the listing.

It’s three blocks from the C train at Kingston-Throop and a slightly longer walk to the LIRR and A/C trains at Nostrand. And there’s laundry and bike storage in the basement. Do you think $2,250 per month is fair?

  1. There’s a lot of rental inventory in Crown Heights now, all of it renovated and most of it family-sized. I’m torn between admiring it, and wondering how many families got displaced to do it. I think we can all objectively agree that it’s strange to see neighborhoods “flip” as rapidly as Bed Stuy and Crown Heights have been. Especially considering how big they are. I wonder how this will shake out in terms of schools in five-ten years.
