We spotted this rendering tacked to the fence on St. Johns Place between Rogers and Nostrand Avenues in Crown Heights, where three mixed-use buildings will become five-story residential buildings. Alteration type 1 permits have been filed for the three-story, two-unit buildings at 830, 822 (shown) and 820 St. Johns Place. BuzzBuzzHome spotted the one for 830, and there are renderings posted in front of the other two buildings, which have already been gutted. No. 830 is now a hair salon (formerly a liquor store); 822 and 820 were both owned by the funeral home.

With its two-story addition, 830 will house 6,759 square feet of residential space and five units. Public records show it sold to an LLC in August for $740,000. The former funeral home at 822 will have 6,186 square feet of residential space and nine units, according to a plan exam application approved in November. Finally, 820 will have 4,341 square and seven units spread across its five stories. Armstrong Funeral Home sold 820 and 822 for $1,750,000 to an LLC in October, according to PropertyShark. Meanwhile, 830 has a different owner.

The architect for 820 and 822 is De-Jan Lu of DJLU Architects. We’ve included the rendering for 820 St. Johns Place and photos of the buildings after the jump.
