This three-bedroom apartment in Bed Stuy is probably one of the cheapest rentals (per bedroom) on the market in Brooklyn right now. The room pictured above wasn’t cleaned before the photos were taken, but otherwise the apartment looks decent. The listing says the photos were taken while it was under renovation, and the broker says the bathroom and kitchen are being updated.

It’s a railroad layout with two of the bedrooms connected, but it is rent stabilized, which is getting harder and harder to find these days. For students, artists or anyone else who needs a really cheap place to live, this could be a good deal.

It’s six to seven blocks from the G and J trains and nearly a mile from the C train at Kingston-Throop, but at this price point, it’s hard to be picky about transportation. Split evenly between three people, the rent is $327 per bedroom. What do you think of it for $980 a month?
