The famously pink townhouse at 233 Garfield Place that underwent a brown washing and a top to bottom renovation last year is still on the market. With no takers at $4,795,000, it has dropped its price to $4,450,000, as Curbed was the first to point out. The broker has also changed, from Halstead to Douglas Elliman. What do you think is the holdup here?

  1. Incredibly beautiful reno! Expensive? yes, but i don’t see anything else out there that is done to this fabulous extent. The exit of the sickeningly sweet plastic bubblegum pink is a godsend to all who live on this block whether painted or not
