Brooklyn’s first dinner boat, The Water Table, will officially open for business on December 6. The World War II-era ship will be serving up seasonal New England cuisine and is taking reservations for Friday and Saturday nights in December. Dinner will be a prix-fixe three-course menu that costs $75, not including beverages, taxes, and gratuity, and cruises generally last from 7:30 to 10 pm. They’ll be pouring bitters-inspired classic cocktails from the ’40s and offering Brooklyn Brewery beer. The wine list will feature small, organic wineries, and there will be a “sipping rum” list. The boat, which docks at India Street Pier in Greenpoint, hopes to expand its service in early 2014. And you can make reservations for New Year’s Eve! Reservations and the December menu are available on The Water Table’s website.
