Rental of the Day: 56 St. Marks Place, #2

This two-bedroom floor-through apartment in Boerum Hill has a nice amount of square footage and a great location. The 1,200 square foot apartment has six rooms, including a formal dining room, office, small den and a large living room. The kitchen is big enough for a small dining table and has a dishwasher. There’s also a walk-in closet and a big kitchen pantry. What do you think of it for $3,000 a month?

  • It’s a pretty apartment, but that’s not a great location, transportation aside–sandwiched between the Wyckoff projects and 4th Ave.

  • This is an incredible deal for the amount of space, and the location is fabulous – at the nexus of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and you have BAM, Barclay’s and access to nearly every train within a 5 minute walk. It doesn’t get better than that, folks. I have been on this block for several years and I LOVE it. People actually know their neighbors. It’s like friggin Sesame Street. Cay – your comments are soooo outdated – would have been relevant about 5 years ago. This area has changed quite a bit with two mega luxury condo projects are going up on 3rd Ave – right next to the projects (for better or worse). This is a steal.

  • It’s a nice size apt, and it’s in a fine area. This in BROOKLYN, and projets abound. Really, not a big deal.

The kitchen IS small and dated, and the bathroom isn’t shown. That doesn’t change the fact that this will rent at the asking, and soon.

    Hmmm– “Sesame Street”? Maybe not.

  • I wouldn’t called sandwiched….sounds silly. Extremely convenient location to all. Very large for floor-thru apartment and looks great. Block does seem more intimate and neighborly than most.
