A panel at the Brooklyn Historical Society will examine the preservationist movement and its future via a look at four neighborhoods: Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Bushwick and Bed Stuy. (Above, the corner of Hancock and Marcy, part of the proposed Bedford Corners district.) Former Landmarks Commissioner Barbaralee Diamonstein Spielvogel will moderate.

Panelists include preservationist Otis Pearsall, former  LPC Chair Beverly Spatt, and Historic Districts Council Executive Director Simeon Bankoff. Following will be the opening reception for the exhibit “Landmarks of New York.”
