It’s not often you see a Greenpoint house with most of its original details, inside or out, and this house at 110 India Street has both. Originally a six-family apartment building — never a single-family town house — the bay-fronted wood frame has been reconfigured into a five-unit building by combining the two first-floor railroad apartments into a spacious owner’s unit with parlor, dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a dressing room. We think they did a pretty good job; the photos show very attractive units despite the humble nature of the building. Also, while the location is close to the ferry and the G train, it’s not directly in the shadow of the planned high-rise developments on the waterfront. Do you think the ask of $2,750,000 will fly, given this is a five-unit multifamily and not a brownstone?
