  • I like that area. I wonder how hot Wallabout can get without any real decent subway access. I guess about as hot as Red Hook.

    • 6 minute Citibike ride to York F, 12 minute walk to the C train and the B54 runs constantly…in 10 minutes free transfer to Jay Street ACF. I get to Midtown faster here than when I lived in South Williamsburg and the walk to the L was farther there to. Everyone I know here works in Manhattan for the most part ans it’s no trouble at all.

  • Oh…and yes I have checked it out! The shop is gorgeous, Diego is warm…friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful, welcome addition to the neighborhood and the prices are very affordable.

  • I met Diego at his D.O.C. wine shop in Williamsburg and was impressed by his knowledge and excellent selection of wine-particularily Italian. So I was thrilled when he opened Grapeshot, just up the road from where I work at Steiner Studios. Check out the shop if you’re in the area. He’s brought his winning formula from Williamsburg to the Wallabout neighborhood.
