Renderings are out for the 40-story-tall hotel planned for the empty lot at 159 Broadway next to the Williamsburgh Savings Bank. As we reported previously, developer Juan Figueroa owns this lot as well as the Savings Bank next door, which he is restoring. Curbed found the images on architecture firm Oppenheim A+D’s website. The building will have three towers with a patterned steel facade. The tallest tower comes in at 440 feet and there’s a total of 86,000 square feet. It’ll be called Williamsburghotel. But what you see may not be what you get, since the developer has still not secured financing or gone through the city’s building approval process yet. What do you think of the design?
