House of the Day: 374 Pacific Street
This listing went up in June with only floor plans, no photos, while the infamous wreck at 374 Pacific Street underwent renovation. Apparently there were no takers, and now it’s done. The results are stunning, in our opinion. Twenty-six feet wide, this Greek Revival brownstone is now set up as a fourplex over a rental….
This listing went up in June with only floor plans, no photos, while the infamous wreck at 374 Pacific Street underwent renovation. Apparently there were no takers, and now it’s done. The results are stunning, in our opinion. Twenty-six feet wide, this Greek Revival brownstone is now set up as a fourplex over a rental. It has central air, herringbone floors, what must surely be the original grand staircase, what might be some original door moldings, a beautiful kitchen, and a charming master bathroom with shell motif tile. But even at 7,000 square feet, according to the listing, the price of $7,900,000 does seem unheard of in Boerum Hill. What’s your opinion?

too big. too much sq footage on too many levels. should have condo-ed it.
” a beautiful kitchen,”
Ummm, that is a rendering.
And thank goodness it is a rendering. That kitchen is awful. It has no upper cabinets – which would be fine if there were a pantry, but there isn’t. On top of that, the fridge and dw are shoved into a skinny nook. Not practical at all. A house obviously made for a big family (who else will fill all those bedrooms?!) and they show a kitchen rendering not suitable for that. For almost 8 large, I’d prefer they think a little harder about the kitchen layout/amenities.
