Deli Going Into the Old Brooklyn Junior Space
A deli is under construction at 150 Clinton Avenue, between Myrtle and Park. This space was once home to the kid’s clothing and toy store Brooklyn Junior, but it was sitting empty for a long time before the deli arrived. Looks like the new store will be called Deli Hill. GMAP

When I moved onto that block in 1982, this had been a pool hall and someone was murdered inside. I lived on the block through the 80’s until I had enough of the roaming thugs throughout the neighborhood. But I recently rode my bike on this block and was amazed. Trees that were planted due to the efforts of neighbor organizing are now full grown trees. Restaurants and cafes along Myrtle Ave! The transformation from the early 80’s is remarkable. I hope this deli survives.
