This Friday, the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District will close Fifth Avenue between 12th and 18th Streets, in Park Slope, between 5 pm and 9 pm. It’s part of the city’s “Weekend Walks” program, where merchants have the opportunity to provide outdoor seating, food, drinks and merchandise out on the sidewalk. In the streets, there will be music and free activities like face painting, a bouncy house, a basketball hoop, vintage cars, and games. (Make sure you check out the live music at Freddy’s Bar and free hot dogs at South.) The BID will also host the summer stroll next Friday, July 26th at the same time. Check out all the details at the 5th Avenue BID website.
