Story Time & Drawing with Random House Children’s Books
On Sunday, June 16 at 10:30 am, Brooklyn Bridge Park invites you to Story Time and Drawing with Random House Children’s Books. Bring the family to Empire Fulton Ferry for a special drawing and story time presentation with Brooklyn writer Emily Jenkins and Brooklyn illustrator Stephanie Graegin who will talk, read, and draw in connection with their new picture book, “Water in the Park.” Inspired by Prospect Park in the summertime, this story will immerse children in a day-in-the-life of a city park and the magnificence of summer.

13th Annual Fort Greene Juneteenth Arts Festival
The Cooperative Culture Collective (TCCC) will present the 13th Annual Fort Greene Juneteenth Arts Festival on Saturday, June 15, 12 pm to 6 pm at Cuyler Gore Park located at the intersection of Fulton Street and Greene Avenue. The festival commemorates Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration of the ending of slavery in Texas and other parts of the South. The festival is free, and will feature musical and dance performances, an art walk and pony rides, among other activities.

Water Lore at the Water’s Edge
Water Lore at the Water’s Edge at the Pebble Beach section of Brooklyn Bridge Park will feature traditional stories, dances, drumming and rituals that teach diverse meanings of water. Featuring Brooklyn based artists from Hawaii, Brazil, Belize, Guyana and Haiti. Saturday, June 15, 4 pm. Rain date: Sunday, June 16, 4 pm to 8 pm.

Brooklyn Flea + Smorgasburg
The Brooklyn Flea runs Saturday in Fort Greene and Sunday in Williamsburg, and the Smorgasburg market runs Saturday in Williamsburg and Sunday in Dumbo. A map, details, and times for all the markets live here. At the Flea, check out hundreds of antique, furniture, food, jewelry and art vendors. Smorgasburg features every type of food, beverage and treat imaginable. Entry to all markets is free.
