The old Brooklyn Law School dormitory at 184 Joralemon Street, in Brooklyn Heights, is now housing luxury rental units. Ideal Properties Group just listed five two-bedroom units that are currently available for showings and move-ins. Rents for those five units range from $5,200 to $6,800. In total, there are 24 units: 23 two-bedrooms and one one-bedroom unit. The listings boast loft-like spaces, wide-plank flooring, “flowing open floor plans, exceptional finishes, and the convenience of a personal washer/dryer.” There aren’t as many renderings as we’d like, but here are a few. United American Land purchased the dorm building in September of 2011 for $10,756,000. Back then, the word was a condo conversion. This building, built at the turn of the century, is landmarked as part of the Borough Hall Skyscraper District. The exterior was covered in scaffolding when we stopped by yesterday.
