Co-op of the Day: 101 Lafayette Avenue #1H

Have we written about 101 Lafayette Avenue more than any other co-op building in Brooklyn? It’s possible, but that’s not going to stop us from highlighting this new ground-floor listing at the Fort Greene prewar stalwart. At 715 square feet, it’s a generously sized, with high ceilings and large rooms. It’s also got its own private maisonette entrance right off the street. (If you don’t want to enter through the bedroom, though, you can always go through the building and come into the apartment’s foyer.) Asking price is $549,000.

  • Why is this tagged as Clinton Hill and not Fort Greene?

I sure wish this building sported inlaid parquet – seems like all the listings have standard flooring.

  • I dunno – parquet is not my thing. Walked by this building recently and gushed over that private entrance.
They’ve managed to make this place look really bright inside – but I can only spot one small window in the kitchen and two windows in the bedroom. Ideally the bedroom would be located where the kitchen is and the kitchen would be up front by that door to the outside.

  • I think this was listed a few years ago. It looks like the former community space in this building that was converted into an apartment. Perhaps it has been further modified?

  • It was a commercial space (Dr’s. office) and was converted to residences a few year ago.
