Huge Empty Lot on Lefferts Place for Sale Again

The giant empty lot along Lefferts Place between Classon and Grand avenues is up for sale. Massey Knackal has a listing for the space, with 39,264 buildable square feet, and says it is “the largest townhouse development site currently available within the submarket.” The lot comes with approved plans for eight three-family townhouses; those plans were first submitted to the DOB this January. The lot sold last year for $3.4 million. There’s a rash of development in the works for this particular block, although no actual construction has started yet. A few years ago, the owner of this parcel sought to rezone the site for a senior living facility. The plan was shot down — do you think this townhouse proposal looks better?
