453-bushwick-avenue-032213The empty lot on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Flushing that faces the projects, a gas station and a diner is for sale. It’s not a pretty intersection, but it’s a major one, and it’s strategically located close to where many new businesses are opening in Bushwick. The owner proposes to build whatever the buyer wants, so price will be determined based on that. (The property last traded in 2006 for $187,614.) Zoned for light industrial or office space, the 1,787 square foot lot at 453 Bushwick Avenue is “ideal for corner deli, convenience store or any other retail operation seeking corner representation on a highly traveled intersection in an up and coming location,” according to the sales copy from broker Massey Knakal. It would be interesting if someone stepped up to the plate with a vision less cookie cutter for the corner, but we shall see.
