NeroDoro Cafe’s Third Anniversary
We will be celebrating NeroDoro‘s 3rd anniversary on Sunday, February 10th from 7pm-12am at the cafe, 395 Classon Avenue. The menu’s been updated with new pastas, tapas and main courses. We also will be present on Seamless Web starting February 1st and are working with the City and Ms Leticia James to change our area from a residential zoning to commercial in the hopes of scoring a sidewalk cafe license for our patrons to enjoy dinning outdoors for many summers to come.

VEAL Art Installation
VEAL makes its world premiere at the Invisible Dog Gallery this week. VEAL is a large-scale sculptural and sound installation with a dance performance, and focuses on the industrial animal, with the architecture of slaughterhouses as a main source. The VEAL installation fills five spaces, four of which comprise the Invisible Dog’s main gallery, and the fifth in a second gallery, where dance work is performed. The installations are multimedia sculptures that double as musical instruments—some of which can be played by audience members—representing moments in an animal’s life as it is mass-produced for food. Lasts from February 7th to 9th, at The Invisible Dog.

The Brooklyn Flea
Every Saturday and Sunday through March 2013, the Brooklyn Flea is at Skylight One Hanson at the former Williamsburg Savings Bank in Fort Greene. Every weekend features 100-plus vendors on three floors selling vintage and handmade items, art and foodstuffs. It’s open from 10 am to 5 pm both days.
