Two cultural spaces are opening at 47 Bergen Street in Cobble Hill, right next door to the Invisible Dog gallery. The first is Recession Art, an affordable art gallery and store, and the second is the Beam Center, a non-profit learning and youth arts development organization. This is the first permanent location in Brooklyn for both organizations. Also, Recession Art and Beam Center will collaborate with next-door neighbor Invisible Dog in the coming months. Both organizations have held shows and events in the Invisible Dog space before. The “Grand Re-Opening” of Recession Art is scheduled for March 9th, and they will be open from 1 pm to 7 pm Wednesday-Saturday, and 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday.
