For the second year in a row the Williamsburg condo building, The Edge, was the best-selling condo or co-op in New York City (the building sold out in December). PropertyShark found that 167 units sold in 2012 at a median price of $804,418. In 2011 the complex sold 215 units at a median price of $705,229. One Brooklyn Bridge Park came in third place this year with 82 sales at a median price of $965,000. Oro came in at number ten, with 64 units sold at $597,521. The rest of the top-selling properties are in Manhattan.

The folks at PropertyShark asked Andrew Barrocas, the CEO of MNS, which handles sales and marketing at The Edge, about all the factors that made building the biggest seller for two years straight:

“The Edge was deemed the coolest building in Williamsburg before construction was even finished. Once construction was complete and people were able to see the residences and what the building has to offer, they realized that there was nothing comparable in Williamsburg. The high-level of finishes and quality of craftsmanship, along with the success of the marketing campaign helped us push sales quickly.”
