Tonight, Community Board Eight’s housing and land-use committee will hold a community forum on a proposal to convert the warehouse at 964 Dean Street, between Classon and Franklin avenues, to residential use. According to PropertyShark, this is a 31,000-square-foot building. There’s also a small vacant lot to the west of the building. This small area of northern Crown Heights (where the 1000 Dean project is located) remains zoned for manufacturing. The committee will discuss the details of the application tonight at 6:30 pm at 727 Classon Avenue. If it’s approved, it could bring even more life to this still mostly industrial block. Update: The applicants cancelled their presentation at the last minute. GMAP
