The blog Wyckoff Heights tracked tons of openings around Bushwick, including a cafe at 420 Troutman Street, a large restaurant at 234 Starr Street, and a bookstore and restaurant at 985 Flushing Avenue. A bar named Bizarre Bushwick will celebrate its opening this weekend at 12 Jefferson Street with a three-day-long party. In Williamsburg, the sustainable sushi restaurant Suzume opened last Thursday at 45 Lorimer, Passenger Bar opened on Roebling Street, and Bellwether closed after about a year in business. And finally, in Greenpoint, chef Daniel Burns of Momofuku plans to open “the best beer bar in the country.” The bar, called Tørst, should open in March.

The owner of popular pizza joint Lucali is spending some time in Miami to expand there, and has temporarily closed his Henry Street location to do so. The Chocolate Room on Court Street completed its expansion and California Taqueria has angered its landlord.
