According to the Facebook page of Leske’s Bakery and this post in South Slope News, the well-known Scandanavian bakery in Bay Ridge, which opened in 1961, is expanding. It’s opening a second location in South Slope. The owners expect to open this new outpost, at 588 5th Avenue, sometime before Valentine’s Day. That’s just in time to pick up Leske’s famous black and whites, butter cookies or chocolate blackout cake for that someone special.
