The march Monday calling for new gun control legislation by the organization One Million Moms for Gun Control will start in Brooklyn. The event begins on Martin Luther King Day at 9:15 am at the corner of Middagh Street and Cadman Plaza West. There, Marty Markowitz will share some remarks and a moment of silence. At 9:35 am the group will take to the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway and make its way to City Hall. A rally on the steps of City Hall will run from 10:30 to 11:30 am and feature speakers like Council Member Tish James and Shannon Watts, the founder of One Million Moms.
