This is just the sort of house we can’t resist, with incised Eastlake details and elaborate mantels (possibly faux painted slate, not marble, but we’re not sure). The listing says the house is in good condition with new windows and a new gas furnace, but going by the photos, we would guess it could probably use a plumbing and electric update. There are no photos of kitchens and baths, but the floor plan shows the original setup, plus an added bath on the parlor floor, which is being used for bedrooms. The top floor has been converted to a rental with the addition of a side kitchen. The price of $635,000 seems about right for this location. What do you think of it?
