In today’s red hot market it’s rare to see a listing price get cut three times, but that’s been the course of events at 171 Prospect Place in Prospect Heights. The renovated brownstone’s top-floor duplex hit the market last July with a price tag of $1,449,000. Within a month, it had been reduced to $1,399,000. In October, it dropped to $1,299,000, and earlier this week it reached what we assume will be its final resting place of $1,099,000. At this level, the 1,700-square-foot condo is priced at less than $650 a foot, a decent bang for your buck in this part of town. The finishes look fine but nothing special. What do you think it’ll go for?
