There’s a list of businesses to look forward to moving onto Flatbush Avenue, according to the North Flatbush Avenue BID. The first, pictured, is Red Mango, a frozen yogurt shop opening on the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place (in the old deli space, above). This is the second location of Red Mango in Brooklyn — the first is in Brooklyn Heights on Court Street. Second, a new salon and spa is coming to 319 Flatbush Avenue, between Prospect and Park. That’s in the old Redberi shop. Elbow Room, a mac and cheese place, will open in the former Skate Brooklyn spot at 229 Flatbush Avenue. Next door a BBQ joint is opening and will serve pork, ribs and the like. Finally, on the corner of St. Marks and Flatbush, a high-end Mexican restaurant is coming to the old legal office space. And we hear that although Five Guys is up for rent, it likely will not be moving out of that location soon. (The rent there is $15,000 a month.)
