Closing Bell: Help Dumbo Businesses Recover from Sandy

This Wednesday, Nov. 7, the Dumbo Improvement District will host a fundraiser to help the shops, venues and restaurants impacted by the storm. More than a dozen commercial spaces in the neighborhood face significant damage, including powerHouse Arena, Galapagos Art Space and Almondine. There will be an auction held, and the items include a two-hour private party at Jane’s Carousel, sports tickets, artwork and more. To donate an item or get involved, please email sandy@dumbonyc.org. The fundraiser follows the Dumbo Improvement District’s annual meeting at 5 pm, which is free and open to the public.
