This rental unit at 619 Hancock in Bed Stuy really caught our eye. You wouldn’t necessarily guess the building, just outside the Stuyvesant Heights historic district, housed apartments with 16-foot ceilings, skylights and metal staircases. This particular listing is for four bedrooms, two baths and 1,500 square feet. The broker tells us she rented out this $4,000 unit and has five other apartments left, priced at $3,800. Update: the broker informed us that the prices on remaining units have been upped to $4,000-$4,200.

  1. ENY, trolley, hasidics are doing illegal conversions all over the brooklyn. think of all the issues with loft conversions in bushwick and williamsburg. huge buildings without sprinkers, fire escapes etc.. they are disasters waiting to happen. i don’t know any other group that can get away with the stuff they do because people like you are so politically correct.

  2. anti-semetic? ha. it sounds like you have you own opinion of hasidics in real estate. most of us do for good reason.

also, there’s no assumption here, trolley. we saw this property when it was listed for $699k by flushing bank, put an offer in and was outbid by these guys. they were hasidic.
