Here are some shots from a reader of the Connecticut Muffin that opened Monday on the corner of Nostrand and Bergen in Crown Heights. They serve sandwiches, soups and baked goods and offer free wifi. Despite the name, the chain opened its first store in Park Slope. Note the subway tile, reclaimed wood wall and antler chandelier. It looks really nice!

  1. Rats- after I move Upstate of course it opens. But I’m glad to see it there. Nostrand Ave. needs more businesses like this- where you can sit down and relax with a cup of coffee or tea and just enjoy. Good luck to them.

  3. icky – they can have it! And take the one on PPW with them, i hate that place. Crapy coffee, really crappy espresso, dumb as nails employees, and mediocre pastry. Maybe in the CH one they will have kitchen ventilation – when someone orders a pressed sandwich you come out smelling like burnt cheese or something.
