The conversion of the former police headquarters at 72 Poplar Street in Brooklyn Heights is underway. After receiving sign-off from the Department of Buildings at the end of July, the developers have been embarked upon a full-born interior demolition to clear the way for 13 residential units. The project will add more than 6,000 square feet of space to the building (for a total of 35,000 square feet) and include the conversion of the adjacent garage into a carriage house.
