Major Reno for Brooklyn Heights Townhouse

The four-story townhouse at 265 Hicks Street, on the corner of Joralemon, is undergoing a big interior and exterior renovation. A DOB permit just approved reads: “Conversion of eight-family dwelling to two-family dwelling. Exterior demolition and restoration of the existing brownstone. Construction of new front stoop, rear balcony and penthouse addition. Demolition and replacement of existing roof… installation of new elevator.” This home was for sale in 2008 and listed without interior photos so we bet this is a gut renovation. It was last asking $2.5 million, and it sold in December 2011 for $2.2 million.
