  • Why can no one spell “mantel” properly?

  • Why can no one spell at all? Good luck selling large ticket items such as homes when you sound like an illiterate fool. Boggles the mind..

Guilty. Until your post, I’d spent my life writing “mantlepiece”.

Well, whenever I actually wrote it. Which hasn’t been very often come to think of it.

  • That price for 43 Wolcott is like $600k over what it should be. 1.2 is a really respectable number for a Super Nice house in Red Hook-the house pictured hasn’t a shred of construction integrity. It’s kind of pitiful. It mkaes me feel shame for some reason.

788 Macon had its “plumping” updated. Also pretty sure the Google maps on that one is wrong. I think it’s actually between Ralph and Howard.

The Red Hook one is a house? I assumed it was a car mechanic workshop.

  • The Cobble Hill house is technically in Carroll Gardens and in need of a great deal of work. I saw it several months back and must say that it really upsets me when realtors try to beef up what a house has when it has little or none of the things they describe. The house should be listed at 1.6 with all the work it needs. It’s also on noisy Union street.

  • Went to the open house on Hall St. on Sunday. Take away the interesting history and the current residents’ decor and you have property that’s one building inspection away from condemnation. Add to that a property next door that is boarded up, front yard filled w/garbage and notifications of rat poison use everywhere. Seriously, is this really all that $1M gets you in Clinton Hill?!
