The Mac Support Store has been in its current digs at 168 7th Street in Gowanus for the last five years. Tired of waiting for Apple to open a Brooklyn store though, the owners are contemplating making a big move and building out a full-fledged Apple retail store (minus the iPhone). They’re currently considering a Cobble Hill corner location but asked us what we thought. Who cares what we think, though, when we can ask all of you. So where do you think they should put their new retail location?

  1. The nabes listed are all pretty pricey – I would imagine rents to be on the high side, so it depends how well capitalized these folks are. Probably much more affordable is Cortelyou Road in Ditmas Park. Relatively easy parking, subway close by, lots of young families in the area, new local businesses, and a number of vacant storefronts for rent. Also, I imagine this will be a “destination” business, so people will come to the store, not simply depending on foot traffic, which is light on Cortelyou Road. Worth checking out.
