In a post this morning, Atlantic Yards Report has some of the presentation materials from Tuesday night’s community meeting along with some significant observations drawn from them. The first is that this is the first time that the location of a Haier retail store has been shown on a map (though it was mentioned as far back as April 2011). The electronics retailer will be located on the 6th Avenue bridge between Atlantic and Dean (where Pacific now dead-ends). AYR suggests that the location of a retail store here has not been part of the traffic analysis. Speaking of traffic, the map at top also shows the loading dock on Dean Street that also raises questions about traffic getting backed up by queuing and/or exiting trucks. AYR also notes that Residential Building 2 appears to have shrunk on this new map. More parking maps on the jump.
