Put on your walking shoes! This Saturday, and for the two after that, Bedford Avenue between Metropolitan and North 12th will once again shut to vehicular traffic and transform into a public space for pedestrians for the 5th year of Williamsburg Walks. While not a street fair, the organizers are quick to point out, the car-free days are a “chance to rethink our public space and enjoy a less crowded Bedford Avenue.” In the past, programming has included art, children’s games and music. The event is organized by NAG (Neighbors Allied for Good Growth). Please email nag.bklyn@gmail.com if you’d like to get involved as a sponsor or volunteer.
