Summer 2012 has long been the target date for getting shovels in the ground at Dock Street, Two Trees’ 17-story mixed development in the shadows of the Brooklyn Bridge, and it’s looking like everything’s on schedule. Earlier this month, there was a “wrecking ball” party at St. Ann’s Warehouse, which will be torn down to make way for the new building, and people who park their cars in the empty lot on Front Street recently received notice that their leases would expire June 11. Asked by email when ground would be broken, the always-succint Jed Walentas responded, “no official date, but coming soon.”
