And the landmarking of Bed Stuy marches on! Tonight Bed Stuy residents are holding the third community forum concerning landmarking the Eastern section of Bedford-Stuyvesant, fifteen blocks of late-19th century rowhouses, churches and storefront/apartment buildings. The group Stuyvesant East Preservation Action League will host the meeting with the Historic Districts Council, who will be on hand to answer questions from homeowners. It’s tonight at 7pm in the auditorium of P.S. 5, located at 820 Hancock Street near Ralph Avenue. This meeting comes after the LPC designation hearing for the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District Expansion last August and LPC calendaring the Bedford Historic District this May.
