We were walking down Water Street yesterday on our way to pick up some lunch on Bridge Street when we glanced up and had our attention grabbed by this steel structure cantilevering out from the concrete facade of 205 Water Street. “Wonder how sales are going?” we said to ourselves. Luckily, we have the email address for the big cheeses at Toll Brothers (they’re advertisers, after all) so we’d barely finished our salad back at our desk when we had our answer: 52 out of 65 units have sold (up from less than 30 at the beginning of the year), including the cantilevered penthouse duplex (which was incidentally one of the first apartments in the building to sell). For the number-crunchers out there, that’s an even 80 percent sold.
